The Bishop Lynch Lady Friars finished eighth overall and the Friars placed 12^th in the team standings Saturday at the TAPPS State Track & Field Championships in Waco.

Competitors in field events led the way for BL, winning three bronze medals with third-place finishes in triple, long and high jump. The women’s 800-meter relay team also finished third, giving BL medals in four different events.
