The Bishop Lynch men's golf team took the top prize Tuesday during the Lovejoy Invitational at Heritage Ranch, while also grabbing the top two individual finishes.

The Friars finished first in the team standings with a total score of 329, ahead of second-place Lovejoy (336) and Frisco Independence (342).

Jamie Ruengmateekhun shot a 77 to finish first in the individual standings while Dalton McKinney's round of 79 was good for second. Trevor Burton was sixth after a round of 83.

"The guys played extremely well on a saturated course that played over 7,000 yards from the back tees," coach Barry Knott said.

The Friars will be in action again Nov. 17 at Firewheel.
