Bishop Lynch High School and community leaders will come together on Friday, October 23, 2015, to celebrate the partnership and dedication of the new softball complex located across from the BLHS campus at Ferguson Park. The newly renovated and revitalized field will be the new, permanent home of the Lady Friar Softball team starting with the 2016 season.

The program will begin at 5:30 pm with a guest speaker, prayer, ribbon-cutting and ceremonial first pitch on the field. Following the ceremony, those in attendance are invited to a tailgate party at the same location. At approximately 7:15 pm, just prior to the varsity football match-up between Bishop Lynch and Bishop Dunne, a few special guests will be brought out on the field in Roffino Stadium.

The Ferguson Park project was made possible through a partnership between Bishop Lynch High School and the City of Dallas, with major support from a $100,000 grant by The Catholic Foundation. The Ferguson Park Softball Field initiative exhibits BL’s commitment to the East Dallas neighborhood, allowing the school to demonstrate its mission of service to the greater community.

Ferguson Park is located near the cross streets of Inadale Avenue and Peavy Road.
