Brigade finishes third at TAPPS State Dance Championships

Congratulations to the Bishop Lynch Brigade for their third place finish in the TAPPS State Dance Competition earlier this week in Waco.

Victoria Gonzalez and Bryton Bonacquisti were named Second Team All-State, while Katie Wiseman and Lauren Stewart received First Team All-State honors.

Congratulations Brigade on an outstanding job and thank you representing Bishop Lynch High School!!

Recognized for student achievement, leadership, and innovation, Bishop Lynch High School continues to build on a rich heritage that prepares graduates for a lifetime of success. Located in East Dallas and accessible from several major highways, Bishop Lynch serves students throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

In its 50 years, Bishop Lynch has produced more than 350 National Merit Scholars, was named the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) Academic State Champions from 2004-2012, and for 10 consecutive years was recognized as overall TAPPS State Henderson Cup Champions for combined excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts. Known for its ability to challenge students of all talents and backgrounds, and due to the school’s college-preparatory curriculum, virtually 100 percent of graduates attend institutes of higher learning. Millions of dollars in scholarships are awarded yearly to Bishop Lynch students from such prestigious schools as Stanford University, Vanderbilt University, The University of Notre Dame, and the United States Military Academies.

Proud of both its heritage and tradition, the mission of Bishop Lynch High School is to teach students “to strive for excellence, to seek truth, and to work for justice in the world.” To see that each student emerges from his or her time at BL with a well-rounded experience, Bishop Lynch offers first-rate academics, including the largest dual enrollment program (55 courses) of any private school in the state of Texas, extensive guidance as students prepare to enter higher education, and a wide variety of extracurricular and service activities. Bishop Lynch hosts a nationally recognized arts program with a facility to match, and athletically, the Friars are known throughout the city, state, and nation as excellent athletes, fair competitors, and champions both on and off the field.
