Both Bishop Lynch cross country teams earned fourth place finishes during Saturday's Flyin' Hawks Invitational hosted by Birdville ISD.

The Lady Friars finished with 118 points, just two points behind third-place Valley View. Ursuline won the overall women's title with just 18 points while Northwest Eaton was second with 67 points.

Ava Peeples led the BL women with a third place finish, clocking a time of 12:12.3. Kaitlyn Steele (11th) finished in a time of 13:03.3 and Kelli Koch was 20th with a time of 13:28.3.

Other competitors for the Lady Friars include:

77. Sophia Duarte — 17:43.5

 

The Friars finished with 117 points in the team standings, behind third-place Boyd (73), runner-up FW Southwest Christian (71) and team champion Trinity Christian-Addison (59).

BL's top individual finisher was Ryan Sheaffer, coming in fifth with a time of 17:53.0. Joseph McDonald (18:36.8) and Jared Cogswell (18:41.6) came in 21st and 22nd, respectively. Other competitors for the Friars include:
