Another pair of district wins this past week put the Bishop Lynch Lady Friars’ league record at 10-0 and put the team two victories away from the 30-win mark this season.

The Lady Friars (28-8 overall, 10-0 district) beat Liberty Christian in four sets Tuesday before sweeping Trinity Christian-Addison last night at BL.

Bishop Lynch dropped its first set in district play against LCS on Tuesday, but still dominated for a win by scores of 25-12, 25-27, 25-12 and 25-12.

Catherine Balido led the attack with 18 kills, Madi Tyus had 14 kills and Francesca Goncalves added 10. Callie Williams notched a game-high 29 assists and Melanie Heigele added 10.

Danielle Nevitt served three aces, Goncalves aced three serves while Balido and Heigele each had a pair. Nevitt also had a team-high 14 digs, while Williams added 13.

Last night, the Lady Friars swept the Lady Trojans by scores of 25-20, 25-13 and 27-25.

Balido led with 11 kills, Tyus put down nine kills and Nevitt paced the team with 12 digs. Williams (15) and Heigele (13) led in assists. That duo also notched 10 digs apiece.

The team will be in action against Tuesday night at rival Ursuline. The match is scheduled to begin at approximately and will be shown live on Sportsgram.net.
