With most of the usual starting lineup watching from the bench Thursday, Bishop Lynch turned to an eager group of reserves to keep its win streak alive.

Three of the top-ranked Lady Friars' top players were out due to either illness or injury, but the supporting cast was up to the task, sweeping Nolan Catholic on the road to extend BL's overall win streak to 14 matches.

Bishop Lynch (24-7, 11-0) remained on top of the district with two wins during the week, starting with a sweep of Parish Episcopal at home, extending the streak of consecutive sets won to 37 and the district win streak to 43 matches.

Junior Elizabeth Moreland led the BL attack with a season-high 11 kills while Hannah PuddyIzzy Clavenna and Kenzie Colvin each had eight.

Audrey May had 17 assists and two aces and Hannah Osborn tallied 15 assists. Morgan Hinds led the defensive effort with 11 digs.

During Tuesday's win over Parish, Puddy had a team-high 13 kills and Green reached double figures with 10 kills. Hinds notched a team-high 15 digs. Melanie Heigele had a game-high 36 assists.

Next week, Bishop Lynch will host third-place Prestonwood Christian (8-4) on Tuesday and hit the road Thursday to take on sixth-place Ursuline (5-6).

Tuesday's game against PCA will be Pink Night in support of breast cancer awareness, and can be streamed live at blfriars.org.
