The Woodrow Wilson Boys Basketball Team advances to the Region II, 5A quarter finals of the Texas State Tournament after squeaking by Frisco Centennial 47-44 in overtime, Feb 28 at JJ Pearce High School In Richardson, Tx.   The Woodrow Wilson Wildcats and Frisco Centennial Titans traded the lead several times through out the game but ended regulation play tied 41-41.  During overtime, Woodrow's senior Dennis Shouse forced two key Frisco turnovers, putting the Wildcats up by three points with only seconds remaining.   Frisco's Jonathyn Washington's three point attempt to tie the game came up empty as the shot dribbled around the rim, in, then out, as time ran off the clock.  The Wildcats were led by senior Hassan Thomas with 15 points, eight rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Senior Joe Ritter also had an impressive game with 13 points.  Woodrow will now take on Wylie in the quarter finals as Wylie upset the eighth-ranked 5A team in the state, Rockwall-Heath.   The Wildcats are led by Head Coach Patrick Washington.  The schedule and location details will be posted as they become available.
