With both teams' air attack literally non-existent, the game between Woodrow Wilson High School and The Colony High School came down to the running game, and The Colony ran all over Woodrow Wilson for a final score of 20-7.

Combined, Woodrow Wilson and The Colony threw for a total of zero passing yards the entire game. Both Woodrow Wilson quarterback Sam Keeter and The Colony quarterback Troy Chandler threw the ball four times. Two of Chandler's passes were actually caught by Woodrow Wilson defenders.

However, The Colony running back Bryan Hammond put the entire team on his back and carried them to victory. He rushed 32 times for 216 yards and all three of his team's touchdowns. In total, The Colony gained 336 yards, all on the ground.

Woodrow Wilson, for the entire game, managed to gain a meager 38 yards. Their biggest gain was by wide receiver Colin Spencer, who rushed once for a 25-yard gain. Quarterback Keeter scored the lone touchdown of the game for Woodrow but actually finished the game with -1 yards rushing on eight carries.

Woodrow Wilson will have an extra week to stew upon their loss before they travel to play Spruce High School for their first district game of the season on Friday, September 28.
