Drew Norman helped lead the Warriors to a 66-18 victory over Wise County Christian.

Lakehill moved to 2-0 on the season with a 66-18 defeat of the Wise County Christian Warriors (TCAL). The Lakehill passing game looked strong, led by senior Drew Norman and junior Cole Ellis. Norman passed for 204 yards and two touchdowns, while Ellis completed all three of his passes for 28 yards and a touchdown. Their favorite targets were senior Johnathan Page (89 yards, two touchdowns) and freshman Brandon Bartholow (77 yards). On the ground, senior Keith Mitchell had another strong game with 100 yards and four touchdowns, while Norman added 61 yards and two touchdowns.

Defensively, Lakehill was led by senior Hudson Trent, junior Jack Pippen, and sophomore Carlos Lopez. Trent and Lopez led the team in tackles, and Pippen also had several tackles and a fumble recovery. Freshman Keaton Kinnard had an interception. Senior Brandon Shaw was solid again on special teams, with two successful onside kicks, 2 point-after-touchdown conversion kicks, and 63 return yards. 

The Warriors travel to Campbell High School (UIL) on Friday, September 20 for their first road game of the season. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.
