Bishop Lynch Brigade Named Grand Champions at DFW Showtime International

On Saturday, February 7^th, the Bishop Lynch Brigade competed in the Showtime International DFW Area Championships at RL Turner High School. After months of preparing, the Brigade brought home numerous awards, including:

2nd Place Medium Ensemble for their Elite Jazz Routine
2nd Place Officer Contemporary; 1st Place Officer Lyrical; 1st Place Officer Novelty
1st Place Team Jazz, 1st Place Team Lyrical, 1st Place Team Kick and 1st Place Team Pom
Officers - Sweepstakes and Judges Award

The team also earned a Sweepstakes and Judges Award and was named Grand Champions!

Individually, Brigade entered eight solos, all of which were named Division I routines: Victoria Gonzalez, Katy Hensel, Lauren Hernandez, Nicole Phillips, Alana Humason, Payton Reeves, Ana Rivera and Lauren Stewart.

Additionally, several girls entered the “Kickmaster Contest.” Katie Wiseman was named a finalist for Junior Kickmaster, and Ceara Daly, Nicole Phillips and Payton Reeves were Senior Kickmaster Semi-Finalists.

The team will compete again on February 21^st at the Dallas Dance Spectacular at The Colony High School.
